3. Hold
students accountable – When a student earns a phone call home, make sure you
make the call, no matter what you have to go through to make contact with the
parent.Students will not like being
held accountable at first, but they will grow to respect you because you will
become known as someone who does what they say they will do.Most students’ lives are littered with adults
who make empty promises and/or empty threats…your diligence will make you stand
out from other adults in the student’s life.
