your efforts – Your assignments and test questions should address specific
state standards and district benchmarks.Your lesson plans should have standards and benchmarks referenced in
them.Your tests should have standards
and benchmarks listed in the margin next to each test question.Your administrator will be impressed when she
sees these things…she will say, “Wow!This is the work of a first year teacher?I’m impressed!”You won’t need to worry if your contract will
be renewed for next year, let’s put it that way.Remember, you are on what is known in the business
as a “Probationary Contract”, which means that it can be “Non-renewed” for no particular
reason at all.
