4.      Have a plan – Make an assignment that you give to students before the video is shown.  Mix the questions up a bit…make some of them “higher level thinking” questions such as “How would you change the ending of the movie?”, and some basic questions like “what color was Ponyboy’s hat?”  Students watch the video more closely if they are trying to answer the questions on the assignment.
