Special Education is a giant responsibility for educators
nationwide. Unfortunately, many teachers
view it as a giant headache to be avoided at all costs. This is a very dangerous philosophy, as legal
action can be (and has been) taken against teachers, schools, and districts
that do not provide a free, appropriate public education for ALL students,
regardless of disability. My belief is
that people dislike what they do not understand, so I am going to do my best to
educate you about Special Education.
