9.      Mistakes of Your Youth – Don’t tell the story of the time that you and your friends “T.P.’ed” old man Franklin’s house when you were 11, or the time that you cheated on a math test in the 8^th Grade, or the time you put your sister’s hamster in the microwave.  Just like your stories about sex and drug/alcohol use, you will probably use the story to teach about how mistakes can cause you pain.  Students won’t learn anything from your mistakes…it will just give them ammunition to use against you later.  I am telling you these stories so that you will learn from MY mistakes!!
