1.      Special Education accommodations are the law – The list of accommodations on a student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) are not a list of suggestions that you should follow if you feel like it.  You are required by law (Public Law 94-142 to be exact) to follow a student’s IEP to the letter.  Keep a file of all your students’ IEP’s in a lockable desk drawer or file cabinet.
