This letter is to inform you that your student has accumulated _________ tardies this month.  Research has shown that students miss out on an average of 15 minutes of instructional time with each tardy, and we would like to make sure that your student does not get left behind.  With this in mind, we are implementing a Saturday School policy to help chronically tardy students keep up with their studies.

 

Because of the fact that your student has ____________ tardies, he/she will have to attend Saturday School for _____________ minutes.  Saturday School begins at 7:00 a.m. on ____________________, and your student will be dismissed from Saturday School at _____________.  Transportation to and from Saturday School is not provided by the district.  Students are urged to bring a book to read or homework to work on so that the time passes faster.
