When I built www.newteacherhelp.com,
I did so because I discovered that there was very little out there to help a
new teacher survive. I had struggled
through my first years of teaching, and I watched helplessly while my two younger
brothers struggled as well. One survived
(he’s now a school administrator), and one did not (he put his Geography degree
to good use in the oil industry). I want
YOU to survive, so I scoured the Internet to find the most helpful websites
available.
I know what you are saying… “Why are you directing me to websites
that you didn’t write? Don’t you want us
to go to newteacherhelp for all of our teaching needs?” My philosophy is this: I want you to get information, and I don’t
care where it comes from! If you visit
these other sites and think that the information would be more helpful, then I
am happy I helped you find what you were looking for! This page will be a “living” document,
because I will be adding sites that are recommended to me by student teachers,
new teachers, and college professors.
